About our Founder,

Mark Kempton is the founder of Kempton Accountancy, a leading tax planning firm that helps business owners reduce their tax bills and increase their profits through advanced tax strategies and entity planning. Mark is a highly educated and experienced professional with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Accounting and Finance from Sacramento State College of Business Administration.

He is also licensed and certified in various areas, including being a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and a CTEC Registered with the California Tax Education Council. Mark has over 22 years of experience working with KPMG as a partner in the Accounting and Auditing Practice in Sacramento, CA. He was responsible for services to financial institutions, including regional banks, mortgage companies, savings and loans, and real estate developers throughout Northern CA and Nevada.

In addition to his professional experience, Mark is also actively involved in volunteer work. He is a treasurer and board member for Operation Project HOPE, a community made up of like-minded individuals committed to making a difference in the world. He was awarded the organization’s Beacon of Hope Award for 2020, recognizing his contributions and commitment to positively impacting the community.
